Welcome!

Welcome to Flying in Crosswinds!

Carlo and I are both pilots.  Yes, real pilots.

Crosswinds is our logbook.  It has three sections.

Flight is a collection of flying stories and hangar tales.  Mostly true!

Adventure is about our favorite destinations and unforgettable journeys.  Aerial photography of a beautiful country, seen from an angel’s point of view.

Romance is like a box of chocolates.  You never know what you’ll get.  Tonet likes bitter cacao, and Carlo is a nut.

There’s a search function for those just dying to know about “stoichiometric entropy” or “mile-high club”.  Finally, there are links to weather and tips on what color of socks to choose.

All on the side bar.  Click away!

We have strong opinions about airlines, airport security and dangling modifiers.  You may comment or not.  Most of the time we’ll actually care about your comment.

John Wayne Flying TigersIf you’re a pilot (the highest form of life on earth), then you are doubly welcome!

If you walked away intact from your last landing, or if you are dying (not a hot word in Tonet Flying Tigersaviation) to tell us how you just looped your airplane sixteen times, feel free to comment here!

We’ve also invited a few pilots we trust (those who survived their mistakes) to write here.  Some of them will even write true stories!

If we inspire you enough so that you want to learn to fly and buy your own airplane, consider this:  Carlo is the romantic here,  Tonet is the aircraft owner.  Guess which one is broke.

Clear prop!

Carlo and Tonet
